North Walsham, friendly, vibrant and the largest market town in North Norfolk is only two minutes away with the weekly market taking place every Thursday. Visit the magnificent 14th Century Church of St. Nicholas or Paston Grammar School founded in 1606 - now an award winning College - where Admiral Lord Nelson was educated. North Walsham is also home to the Norfolk Motorcycle Museum with its collection of over 80 motorcycles dating as far back as the 1920s and the famous Cat Pottery where Jenny Winstanley makes the pet with a difference!
Blickling Hall and Felbrigg Hall, both in the care of the National Trust, are only a half hour’s drive away, as is Blakeney National Nature Reserve, one of the largest expanses of unspoilt coastline in Europe and an internationally important breeding area for sea-bird colonies and grey and common seals.The coastal towns of Sheringham and Cromer (with its pier) are only six miles away and Norwich City centre just sixteen miles!
